Centrum Donates $500,000 to Bell School

bellcheck.jpgOn Friday, May 18, 2007, Centrum Properties, generously donated a gift of $500,000 to Alexander Graham Bell Elementary School in Chicago’s North Center neighborhood. The funds will be used to hire an additional full-time teacher as well as act as initial funding for a potential expansion of the school.

Robert A. Guercio, principal of Bell said, “Centrum Properties has proven that their motto of ‘Developing, Building and Investing in the Future’ does not just apply to their business; it also applies to the community in which they work. We are extremely grateful to Centrum for their generosity and for their ongoing interest in and commitment to the children of Bell School.”

Centrum was proud to help support Bell’s dedication to educational excellence. Located at 3730 N. Oakley in Chicago, Bell School is one of the highest-performing Chicago public elementary schools. Bell School boasts an acclaimed neighborhood program, a regional gifted program, and a program for students with hearing loss. The school celebrated its 90th birthday this year and is within the enrollment boundries of Centrum’s single family development - The Residences of Bradley Place 2.
