Getting the Best out of Your Wood Floors

I approach the subject of maintaining wood flooring with some trepidation; as I know I have failed to properly care for my own in the past. However, as any city dweller can attest, a flawless wood floor is essential to the overall appearance of a condo. That said, I would like to share the proper maintenance technique with you:
1. Routinely vacuum (with a soft brush attachment) and sweep
2. Never use a wet mop. Instead, spray an approved wood floor cleaning solution and then wipe with a dry mop.
3. Keep soft pads on the legs of all furniture
4. Place rugs in high traffic areas, and avoid walking in high heels when possible
5. Keep your pet’s nails trimmed
