Montgomery Lobby Earns Golden Key Award

I had the pleasure of accompanying the judges for the Home Builders Association of Greater Chicago as they surveyed the lobby at Centrum’s adaptive reuse project, The Montgomery. This was an especially enjoyable experience, as the judges couldn’t help but ohh and ahh over the lobby’s superior design. Comments like, “…the wood-work is Frank Lloyd Wright-esque” and “..the color scheme is subtle yet very warm” caused a noticeable smile to graze my face. I felt extraordinarily proud to be representing Centrum Properties at that moment.
Today we learned that the Home Builders Association decided to present Centrum with their Golden Key Award in recognition of outstanding lobby design. According to the association’s website, the Key Awards recognize excellence in housing design, architecture, interior merchandising, landscaping, landscape architecture and remodeling.
We certainly feel honored to receive such strong recognition from an organization considered to be the voice of the housing industry.
The Home Builders Association of Greater Chicago represents more than 2,000 members involved in home building, remodeling, design, housing finance, building product manufacturing and other segments of residential construction.
